Responding to COVID-19 has been one of our most critical priorities to date, but we remain committed to helping Peace Arch Hospital however we can. We are doing everything in our power to support Peace Arch Hospital — and the community of White Rock and South Surrey during this time.

With the help of donors like you, we were able to initiate our COVID-19 Emergency Fund. This has supplied Peace Arch Hospital with the funds necessary to provide our healthcare workers with immediate comforts and needs like food, hotel and respite stays. In addition, it has provided Peace Arch Hospital with the ability to purchase any critical equipment, medical devices or additional necessities as needs arise during the pandemic. We couldn’t have done it without your support!

“The overwhelming support from people in the community and friends has been a great feeling during this whole situation. From food deliveries and donations, I have never seen such an outpouring of encouragement for what we do at this hospital. That support has definitely helped give me the drive to go to work and try to keep everyone safe, even with the realization that I am risking the health of myself and my family every time I step through the hospital doors.”

COVID-19 Emergency Fund Highlights:

More than 14,000 meals were purchased from 20 local businesses as part of our food delivery program for frontline medical staff. 70+ local businesses donation an additional 5,000 meals and snacks.

31 iPads were purchased for Peace Arch Hospital. This helped to ensure that our most vulnerable and fragile patients — including those in long-term care and psychiatric units — can virtually communicate with their loved ones or medical staff while physical distancing is required during COVID-19. An additional 50+ iPads and tablets were secured with the help of community donors.

More than 18 Rapid Response Grants have been provided to local organizations in our community who have had to adapt their services or offerings due to COVID-19.
