Walk The Rock is a community event for all ages, bringing families together for movement, connection, and giving back, all in support of better patient care at Peace Arch Hospital. Walk The Rock is planned and run by Peace Arch Hospital + Community Health Foundation’s Youth In Action Program.

100% of proceeds support the Every Second Counts- ICU & Cardiac Monitoring campaign to improve the critical and cardiac care experience for patients and their families.

Why the Every Second Counts campaign matters:
● Will vastly improve the critical and cardiac care experience for patients and their families
● Allows for state-of-the-art technology and design to enable clinicians to deliver superior care for patients

Every Second Counts

ICU & Cardiac Monitoring Campaign

Peace Arch Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Cardiac Monitoring Unit are undersized, outdated, and in need of infrastructure upgrades. That’s why Peace Arch Hospital + Community Health Foundation is embarking on our largest-ever capital fundraising project to transform PAH’s entire 4th floor into a single streamlined ICU and Cardiac Monitoring Unit. One that will vastly improve the critical and cardiac care experience for patients and their families.

Youth In Action Program

Peace Arch Hospital Foundation launched the Youth In Action Program in April of 2021 with the goal of supporting grades 10-12 students in South Surrey and White Rock who want to make a difference, get hands-on volunteer experience, and get involved with helping to make their community the healthiest possible.

Through the program, youth take part in a variety of volunteer experiences, healthy lifestyle activities and learn how to organize, plan, and execute a fundraising event. They will also learn about different careers, job skills, and organizations from guest speakers at monthly meetings.
