rbc foundation, peace arch hospital foundation present vine youth clinic with generous $150,000 donation

RBC Foundation recently made a generous gift of $150,000 to White Rock’s Vine Youth Clinic, through their Future Launch program. Vine Youth Clinic is a facility that assists young people with mental health concerns, substance use issues, and reproductive health questions.

Mental health challenges and substance use are three of the top five reasons 17 to 24 year-olds are admitted to hospital; an average of 948 patients are seen each year at Peace Arch with these issues. The Vine Youth Clinic has operated in partnership with local family physicians, Ministry of Child and Family Development, Alexandra Neighbourhood House, and Peace Arch Hospital volunteers since 2007 with a mission to incorporate innovative approaches to meet and adapt to the needs of local youth.

This critically-needed gift to the Vine Youth Clinic will make a huge difference for youth in our area.

“We are so thrilled with this incredible donation from RBC Foundation. It will have a profound impact on helping vulnerable youth in our community access essential services so that they can become insightful, engaging, and healthy adults”

Dr. Randy Gill, Vine Youth Clinic Medical Director

The RBC Foundation and their Future Launch program aims to remove barriers and provide access for young people to increase mental well-being, learn skills, gain valuable work experience, and share knowledge. To date, they have invested $500 million in this critical social issue.
