White Rock, B.C. – At Peace Arch Hospital, every patient deserves to feel heard and cared for, regardless of what language they speak.

To help make that possible, Fraser Health has introduced a new interpretation platform called Propio ONE, giving medical teams access to professional interpreters in more than 300 languages. The platform helps ensure patients and families can clearly communicate with their care teams, fostering more informed and compassionate care.

Clear communication is always essential in healthcare. To aid with this, Propio ONE offers interpretation services that bridge language barrier. The program provides a network of more than 20,000 interpreters for phone and video appointments, making it easier for medical teams to connect with the right language support when it is needed most. This means that medical teams can plan their virtual appointments with an interpreter, so both medical teams and patients are prepared and can feel heard.

This incredible technology was rolled out throughout Fraser Health earlier this year, helping patients feel confident that language interpretation remains available to support them throughout their care journey.
