Tracey-Mae Chambers is a Métis installation artist and a member of the Métis Nation of Ontario. The goal of these works is to broach the subject of decolonization with viewers and staff. The installations are created with large premade crochet, and knit pieces made with red yarn. The installation that we will be featuring is heavily themed around the Residential School system and the graves that were found across BC in recent years.
We will be joined by Museum staff Melanie, who will personally guide us through photos and videos of the exhibit, giving us the best descriptions of the displays and answering your personal questions.
Don’t miss this exclusive opportunity to experience the exhibit together with folks from all around.
