Support Peace Arch Hospital + Community Health Foundation (PAHCHF) this Diwali! 

We invite you to bring the spirit of light, generosity, and community to your Diwali celebrations this year in supporting Peace Arch Hospital. This year, individuals and businesses across White Rok and South Surrey are supporting Every Second Counts, our Foundation’s campaign to transform critical and cardiac care at Peace Arch Hospital around the season of Diwali this October – November. 

Ways to Celebrate Diwali with PAHCHF

This Diwali, we invite businesses to make Every Second Count for PAHCHF as part of their celebrations in two meaningful ways:

  • Make a Gift: Donate in celebration of Diwali to show your customers your commitment to community healthcare. You can donate now via our donation form HERE. 

  • Host a Diwali community fundraiser prior to Diwali on Nov 8: Invite customers or employees to participate through a promotion, celebration or fundraising initiative. You can learn more about community fundraisers HERE. 

    There are lots of unique ways to do this. For example:

    • Hosting a cash box at your storefront
    • Donating a percentage of the sales of a certain item or from a specific day
    • Hosting a donation event on your services

This Diwali, let us celebrate the light we bring to one another — and help ensure that when someone in our community urgently needs critical care, our community hospital has the facilities, staff and equipment needed.

About our Every Second Counts Campaign

Peace Arch Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Cardiac Monitoring Unit are undersized, outdated, and in need of infrastructure upgrades. That’s why Peace Arch Hospital + Community Health Foundation is embarking on our largest-ever capital fundraising project to transform PAH’s entire 4th floor into a single streamlined ICU and Cardiac Monitoring Unit. One that will vastly improve the critical and cardiac care experience for patients and their families.

The new integrated ICU and Cardiac Monitoring Unit will address these inefficiencies by utilizing state-of-the-art technology and design that enables our clinicians to deliver superior care for patients. It will also provide patients with a dignified, private, comfortable environment to help speed up their recovery, with room for loved ones to support them during their stay.

This $35 million project involves relocating a medical unit within the hospital, and consolidation of the remaining ICU and Cardiac Monitoring Unit into a single, expansive facility covering over 1,000 square metres. With advanced technology and innovative, forward-thinking design, the new department is designed to meet the evolving needs of patients, families, staff, and the broader community. Every second counts.
