Peace Arch Hospital Foundation Projects: Partners in Planning

Partners in Planning

Are you a Professional Advisor? Join us as a Partner in Planning!

We understand the critical work Professional Advisors like you make to ensure your clients are equipped with the knowledge, understanding and trust in their wealth and estate management teams.

Connecting with clients about their charitable aspirations through the philanthropic conversation deepens the relationship and builds the foundations of life-long collaboration, helping clients achieve their philanthropic and financial goals. While many advisors support their clients in these aspirations, many need more information about how to grow their book of business and engage new clients through the power of philanthropic giving.

Please join us as a Partner in Planning and get involved in our Exclusive Breakfast and/or Lunch Advisor Events below. Partners benefit from invitations to Foundation events, resources to engage clients in new ways, as well as training in the important philanthropic conversation. We have developed a program to engage with you, our network of professional advisors, to keep you informed of the current priorities of the hospital and tools to work with your clients who are interested in philanthropy, either now or through their estate plan.

Attend our Breakfast Session, Lunch Session, or both! The choice is yours.

  1. Breakfast Session (8:30-10:00) — BUSINESS BUILDING & GIVING: THE IMPORTANCE OF THE PHILANTHROPIC CONVERSATION

For many high net worth clients, charitable giving is something they are already doing, but, as always, planning is the key to multiplying both philanthropic impact and their personal fulfillment. Join us for business development insight into the current landscape of Canadian philanthropy and where your clients are already engaged in it. We will discuss and share case studies of not just tax benefits but more importantly how to have ‘The Philanthropic Conversation’ about how personal legacy through asset based giving, financial and estate planning can help shape that vision including new insights from the estate and financial planning community including new resources on donations of life insurance, and more.

This session is recommended for Financial Advisors and Accountants.

  2. Lunch Session (11:30am-1:15pm) — ESTATE PLANNING: THE (R)EVELUTION OF PLANNED GIVING

Learn how to build trust and deepen your client relationships with “the philanthropic conversation” and set yourself apart as an advisor. Understand how to discuss personal legacy through asset based giving and estate planning to help shape your clients vision and more. Spend some time with Pal Nazareth for an update on tax and giving, and generosity in Canada. Learn about trends in philanthropy and CAGP’s Will Power, the biggest campaign in Canadian history to make gifts in Wills a social norm. You will benefit from a conversation roadmap to more deeply engage with current clients and add value to them as a philanthropic advisor. By attending this seminar you will also gain an understanding on how you’ll help your clients better support their favourite causes — deepening your offering and further distinguishing your business.

This session is recommended for all Professional Advisors.

Special Opportunity: All attendee names & businesses will be advertised in the Peace Arch News and beyond (if desired) to celebrate you as a Partner in Planning. Sponsorship options are also available for our advisor event, as well as an exclusive donor event the following day.

"The simple act of giving is truly transformational. Every dollar we receive is enhancing health care in this community, whether it’s supporting our capital infrastructure, the purchase of essential medical equipment, or funding a wellness program like stroke recovery or a children’s club to encourage healthy habits and active play. It all matters and it all makes a difference."
Stephanie Beck, Executive Director at Peace Arch Hospital Foundation
