The Pacific Blue Cross Health Foundation recently made a $100,000 donation to Peace Arch Hospital’s new 73-bed mental health unit being built inside its new residential care and hospice facility.

Richard Taylor, Chair of the Pacific Blue Cross Health Foundation, says they are pleased to contribute to an outstanding program improving quality of care for those with mental health concerns. “We look forward to the completion of the facility and the impact it will have on families and their loved ones.”

“We are so thrilled the Pacific Blue Cross Health Foundation has chosen to support our critically-needed new mental health unit,” said Stephanie Beck, the Foundation’s Executive Director. “This wonderful gift is a shining example of their commitment to improving the outcomes of those suffering with mental illness in the communities they serve.”

In recognition of their generous $100,000 contribution, the ‘neighbourhood’ in the new mental health unit will be named in the Pacific Blue Cross Health Foundation’s honour.
